25+ Years of Understanding Dogs & Building Trust
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with dogs of different breeds, ages, personalities, and needs. One of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is that no two dogs are the same.
I take the time to understand each dog, their personality and individual needs, as well as the family they live with. My approach is based on positive reinforcement, clear structure, consistency, and trust, and I adjust the way I work based on what is most appropriate for each individual dog and family.
For approximately the past eight years, my work has also included Doggy Daycare and Overnight Boarding. Caring for dogs in a group environment has given me the opportunity to observe them in everyday situations — how they communicate with one another, how they respond to different personalities and energy levels, and how their behaviour can change in a social environment. This experience has become an important part of how dogs are cared for, supervised, and managed at Fabulous Paw.
My goal has always been to help dogs and their families build better communication and understanding, while providing professional and personalized care based on each dog’s individual needs.
The trust that families have placed in Fabulous Paw over the years means a great deal to me. Fabulous Paw was recognized with the 2025 Consumer Choice Award for Doggy Daycare in the North Shore and has now been selected as a 2027 Consumer Choice Award recipient in the Pet Boarding category in North Vancouver.
After more than 25 years of working with dogs, I still believe that this work is about much more than teaching commands or simply caring for a dog while their family is away. It is about understanding each individual dog, building trust, and creating an environment where dogs can learn, socialize, and feel comfortable.
